Nestled amongst the Grampians Ranges, The Kookaburra Hotel has been a long-standing favourite for generations of locals and an abundance of visitors alike. Although it has gone by many names over the years it has always been a place to enjoy a wholesome meal and a drink or two with family and friends

 

After 43 years, November 2022 marks the well earned retirement of Rick and Vonne.

Previous employee Carlee is now the custodian to continue The Kookaburra Hotel into the future.

 The rest of the team are here still too, we have all learnt a lot over our years with Rick and Vonne and we are excited to make our own little mark on this local institution.

 

 A friendly inviting ambiance, teamed with the kitchen crew creating a harmonious seasonal menu of modern bistro dishes and some good old pub classics as well. We continue with a nice little nod to the previous owners, with some “Kooka Classics” rotating on the menu too.

 
The team out front are pouring fantastic wines from around the Grampians region, along

with the coldest taps in town - featuring ciders, ginger beer, favourite classics and craft beers too.
A wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

 

We can easily cater for group bookings, functions and all dietary requirements or requests,

so feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns.

Our bar, coffee machine, pool table and outdoor courtyard are open from 3:00pm.
A casual setting to pop in for a refresher, a hearty meal and a yarn once you make it back down from a day exploring the mountains.
